The exterior of the hotel remains true to the ancient Scottish-inspired architecture with hand-selected stones gracing the façade of the castle.
The hotel comprises eight spacious and luxuriously appointed bedrooms with attached bathrooms spread over two floors including a luxury suite with a panoramic view. A special feature of the hotel – the ‘Attic’ – offers a spectacular view of its luscious environs.
For the adventurous, several walking paths around the hotel lead to some of the most scenic places in Nuwara Eliya. One of them leads to the ‘Single Tree Hill’ or ‘One Tree Hill’- the 10th tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Others lead to the Galway’s Land National Park, and the breathtaking ‘Moon Plains’ etc.
The Wind Castle hotel is located in Shanthipura – the highest village in Sri Lanka at an altitude of 7,339 feet -a mere 4 kilometer drive from the Nuwara Eliya City Center and access to the hotel is a smooth and easy ride.
